Health Promotion

The Center for Health Promotion (CHP) is UMass Amherst's home for innovative programs, entertaining events, information about health and wellness, and more!

The CHP's alcohol and other drug abuse prevention initiatives, including the BASICS program, social norms campaigns and the MyStudentBody online education suite, promote responsible decision-making on campus and in the community. Peer health programs and groups such as the Not Ready for Bedtime Players and Phallacies get students involved in health; the Athletic Health Enhancement Program supports athletes in maximizing achievements in the game, the classroom and life. More about MyStudentBody (MSB)
MSB is an online alcohol and other drug education course required for all first-year students but recommended for everyone. First-year students must successfully complete MSB by the stated deadline to avoid a registration hold. Go to www.umass.edu/uhs/cadap/msb for course instructions; download and follow them carefully.
