UMA Undergraduate Guide 2014-2015 Academic Departments and Programs Hospitality and Tourism Management Study Abroad
Study Abroad
Students in HTM can spend semesters abroad studying at one of three international institutions: Southern Cross University in Australia, Oxford Brookes University in England, or the Caesar Ritz Hotel Management School in Lucern, Switzerland. Students may elect to spend one year in Switzerland in the department’s Learn6/Work6 program to earn two semesters of academic credits in six months, including German language courses, and then to work as a paid intern for another six months in a European hotel or restaurant. The department also offers a summer study abroad program each year in locations such as London, Paris, and other popular European destinations. Students who participate in these activities often pursue international career opportunities and learn essential foreign languages. |
