UMA Undergraduate Guide 2011-2012 Undergraduate Admissions, Expenses, and Financial Aid Freshman Admission
Overview
Office: Undergraduate Admissions, Mather Building The Undergraduate Admissions Office processes all freshman, transfer, Stockbridge, and second bachelor’s degree applications to the Amherst campus. It is recommended that students apply online at www.umass.edu/admissions or the Common Application https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/default.aspx. Applications for the Boston, Dartmouth, Lowell, and Worcester (medical school) campuses must be obtained from their respective Admissions Offices. The Amherst campus provides students with the option to apply either Early Action or Regular Decision. Early Action: This option is designed for fall freshman applicants with strong academic records who wish to apply early to the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Students submit applications by the November 1 deadline and may receive an early offer of admission. Regular Decision: This process allows students the maximum amount of time in which to decide that the University of Massachusetts Amherst is the right choice. Students must submit their admission application by January 15. |
