The Minor

The Nutrition minor is available and is most relevant for students already in the sciences.  Students declare the minor during their final semester.  The following courses are required:

Science

CHEM 111, 112 (General Chemistry)

CHEM 261 or CHEM 250 (Organic Chemistry)

BIOCHEM 420 (Biochemistry)

KIN 272 or equivalent (Kinesiology)

Nutrition

NUTRITN 130 Nutrition for a Healthy Lifestyle

(NUTRITN 230) Basic Nutrition

(NUTRITN 352) Nutrition in the Life Cycle

(NUTRITN 430) Nutrition and Metabolism

As well as three or more credits of Nutrition Elective (300 level or above).
