The Minor

The Nutrition minor is available and is most relevant for students already in the sciences.  Students declare the minor during their final semester.  The following courses are required:

Science

Chemistry 111, 112 (general CHEM)

Chemistry 261 or Chemistry 250 (organic CHEM)

Biochemisty 420 (BIOCHEM)

Kinesiology 272 or equivalent (KIN)

 

Nutrition

Nutrition for a Healthy Lifestyle (NUTRITN 130)

Basic Nutrition (NUTRITN 230)

Nutrition in the Life Cycle (NUTRITN 352)

Nutrition and Metabolism (NUTRITN 430)

As well as three or more credits of Nutrition Elective (300 level or above).
