The Minor

The minor in Middle Eastern Studies or Arabic Minor enables students to gain grounding in some particular facet of the discipline, without fulfilling the full range of major requirements.

In Middle Eastern Studies
1. HISTORY 130 and 131 Middle Eastern History I, II
2. Three additional courses, at or above the 300 level, chosen from an approved list of courses offered by the Five College consortium.

In Arabic
Nonnative speakers are required to take one year (six credits) beyond the intermediate level. Native speakers are required to take six courses (18 credits) beyond the intermediate level.
