Program Overview
The School of Public Health and Health Sciences in conjunction with the Division of Continuing and Professional Education is pleased to offer to all current students in the MPH-PHP, MPH-Nutrition, and MBA-Health Administration the opportunity to earn a fully accredited Graduate Certificate in Global Health. The Certificate can also be earned by non-degree seeking students from outside institutions or by working professionals. The Global Health Certificate is designed to be completed along with your current course of study and requires the completion of 5 courses.
Upon completion of the certificate, students will have gained the following skills:
• The ability to understand and describe emerging health concerns.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate global health programs from community, regional, and national perspectives.
• Analyze the social, political, and medical factors that influence populations.
• Describe issues of health equity and human rights.
• Describe the role of non-governmental organizations.

Format: 100% online
Requirements: All applicants must submit a certificate application (found on the Public Health website), official transcripts, resume/CV, and 2 letters of recommendation directly to the School of Public Health and Health Policy in Arnold House.
Application: All prospective students must apply for the certificate, regardless of student status. Applications for current students are considered twice a year: October 1st deadline for spring admissions and March 1st for fall admissions. Courses you have already completed can be used to fulfill certificate requirements, as long as they are listed in the curriculum.
