Program Overview
The M.S. and Ph.D. programs in the Department of Biomedical Engineering are designed to meet the needs of students planning either more advanced study or professional employment. The programs at the University of Massachusetts Amherst concentrate on the application of the latest experimental and computational techniques to solve problems at the intersection of Biology, Medicine and Engineering to advance healthcare. Students can focus on topics in biomaterials, tissue engineering, orthopedics, medical devices, molecular therapies, bioinstrumentation, cardiovascular, biosensors, ergonomics/human factors engineering, or an area of mutual interest to the student and faculty. |
