UMA Graduate Bulletin 2016-2017 Public Policy & Administration Programs, Faculty, and Courses Program Overview Application and Financial Aid
Application and Financial Aid
Application for graduate study should by made directly through the Dean of the Graduate School, as described elsewhere in this Bulletin. Admission to the Master’s program is for the fall semester only. The program offers a limited number of teaching and research assistantships to qualified students; these carry a stipend and a waiver of tuition and curriculum fees. Accelerated MPP Admissions • Completed application form The program is open to Juniors from UMass and the Five Colleges with no GRE requirement. While there are no prerequisites required in order to be accepted, recommended preparatory courses include classes in economics, political science, statistics, computer science, accounting, writing and communication. We also value undergraduate internships and relevant work experience. Applicants must be of Junior standing and have a strong cumulative grade point average. Admission into the accelerated MPP program will be contingent on maintaining a high GPA during the senior year. Applicants to the program are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to public service through internships, research, employment or volunteer experiences with policy-oriented organizations. |
