The requirements for admission to the Master of Science degree program are those of the graduate school. Applications are accepted for the Fall semester only. Applicants MUST identify a research faculty member who is willing to accept them into their research laboratory. The Master of Science Degree in Animal Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences will be awarded upon successful completion of thirty credits which are earned by participation in formal coursework, journal clubs, seminars, independent study and thesis research. A thesis summarizing the major research findings during this course of study is also required. Two to three years is usually required to complete the Masters degree.
