Program Overview

At the graduate level, the department offers a Master of Landscape Architecture (M.L.A.) degree; a Master of Regional Planning (M.R.P.) degree; three dual degrees: M.L.A./M.R.P., M.L.A./M.Arch., M.R.P./M.Arch. (Architecture); M.R.P./J.D. (Law), and M.R.P./M.P.P.A. (Public Policy and Administration); and a Ph.D. in Regional Planning.  An accelerated 5-year combined Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and M.R.P. is available.

Financial Assistance
The Ph.D., M.L.A. and M.R.P. programs offer teaching and research assistantships to selected qualified students which carry a semester stipend and a waiver of tuition and some fees. The M.L.A. teaching assistantships require experience in at least one of the following: plant identification, design, graphics, natural processes, surveying, and theory.  There are also potential off-campus externship opportunities.

Computer Requirement
All students are required to have a laptop computer, equal or greater to the specifications provided by the department. The department also provides a list of required software (including version).
