Program Overview

At the graduate level, the Architecture and Design program offers Master of Architecture, the Master of Science in Design, and the Master of Science, Historic Preservation, degrees. The Master of Science degree was established in 1976. The Master of Architecture degree program is fully accredited by the National Architectural Accreditation Board (NAAB).  The Master of Science Historic Preservation was established in 2009 in coorperation with Hancock Shaker Village.

The Architecture and Design program works to create a learning environment in which all students can discover and develop their own design process and professional potential. Students in the program are encouraged to critique the work of fellow students as a way to develop their analytic skills and establish ongoing working relationships.
