Master of Science Degree Program

The requirements for the Master’s degree consist of 30 graduate credits, 21 of which must be in program-related courses. During the first year students take Molecular and Cellular Biology 642, and either Biochemistry 623 or Molecular and Cellular Biology 641. At least 9 credits of advanced course work is required as well. Up to 10 credits may be earned for the Master’s thesis, which is defended orally before a faculty committee.
