Division of Continuing and Professional Education

UMass Amherst’s Division of Continuing & Professional Education (CPE) brings award-winning programs to more than 20,000 people each year. We offer complete graduate degree programs together with career-advancing professional development certificates, workshops and classes, empowering you with the tools to thrive in today’s global workplace without interrupting your career. We offer many programs completely online, so you can take them whenever and wherever you want. If you prefer face-to-face instruction, you can take part-time classes on-campus in Amherst or off-campus in locations convenient to Boston and Worcester. Interested in exploring a career change? Enroll in a single class and see if a new field is right for you. This range of options allows you to earn your credentials at your own pace, from anywhere in the world. CPE credit programs are offered thorough the University’s Schools and Colleges, and meet the same academic requirements as traditional on-campus courses. CPE courses are taught by university faculty or highly-qualified adjunct instructors, often professionals in their field.
